We’re currently working on our brand new website (the countdown to launch starts 1/1/12!) and so there’s been a lot of photography going on. Here’s what happens when you release George from his desk.

We were delighted to support Archant Anglia’s awards for Tourism and Food & Drink earlier on this autumn.
Spring sponsored the local drink category in the Food & Drink awards, and presented first prize to a delighted (and deserving) Alec Williamson of Calvors at a relaxed lunch ceremony in Ickworth House.

The tourism awards saw us presenting first prize for Best Large Attraction to our friends at Southwold Pier - though I hasten to add that we withdrew from judging when we saw them and other clients amongst the finalists.

Archant’s MD Johnny Hustler and his wife Lucy made entertaining companions during the awards dinner, with a conversation on the best way to grow melons proving a particular high point. Here’s a pre-event gathering of Johnny, Terry Hunt (EADT), Richard Ellis and Lucy with me in the middle.

Saint Felix, the co-educational boarding and day school in Southwold, has – in an innovative break from tradition – commissioned us to provide a fully retained marketing and design service.
The commission comes hot on the heels of the arrival of new headmaster, Dr Simon Letman, who is in the process of a transformation of the school.
He has introduced the concept of ‘learning for life’, a statement of his intention to provide all Saint Felix pupils with a broad range of skills that will set them up fully for life’s opportunities and challenges. This will involve members of the business community, who will share their learnings with students at all levels of the school.
Our strategic team will be undertaking a research programme as part of Spring’s development and management of a marketing plan, helping the school to identify markets and activities.
The studio will also be developing an advertising campaign, print and digital materials and a range of other creative marketing.
We are thrilled to be involved, especially at such an early stage, with the exciting evolution of this much-loved Suffolk institution.
“This is a very innovative approach for us to take,” says Dr Letman. “Most schools like ours tend to use in-house solutions for their marketing and design requirements. We have decided instead to develop a new model. Working in close partnership with one of the region’s most successful and creative agencies, we are developing a more strategic and dynamic approach to communicating our distinctive and exciting educational vision.”
