As the concert series enters its third full season, I am prouder than ever of Spring’s cnnection to this wonderful musical asset for Southwold.
This year we are celebrating its success – 20 concerts in, with regular audiences of well over 100 people and a growing reputation across East Anglia – with a little revamp. Our new design celebrates Southwold and music in a colourful way and I’d be delighted to hear your thoughts!
The first time I met Nathan, shortly into Spring’s life in 2006, he came to visit us as a client. It reinforced for me the surprising logic of setting up an ambitious creative agency in Southwold. Like Spring, Nathan works across the world – but this town is in his soul, and ours. So it made sense to work together to create this wonderful set of musical events.
As I sat in a concert earlier in 2011, I considered what one gets from really good music somewhere as beautiful as St Edmund’s Church. Happiness, certainly; an education, even – but as night fell, and the quality of light changed, in the company of relaxed people enjoying the music performed for us that evening, the over riding sense I had was of contentment.
It’s a hard thing to find in these turbulent times, and so we are delighted to invite the Southwold Concert Series’ audiences to ‘Discover Musical Contentment in Southwold’

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Account Director Nikki Barker has been promoted to Client Services Director of the agency. This is a new role which we feel is appropriate for Spring’s growth and perfect for Nikki.
She will now sit on the management board, as well as taking on responsibility for setting up all client accounts and mentoring the account handling team.
Since Nikki joined us just six months ago she has impressed us with her focus, intelligence and hands-on approach to client accounts. We have seen her colleagues flourish in her company so this promotion is a fitting recognition of her skills.
Congratulations, Nikki!

Spring has been commissioned as a creative partner by the Eastern Enterprise Hub, and as a first project we’ve created a fresh, contemporary design for the organisation’s Superstars brochure and we’ve just taken delivery of the finished brochure.
The colourful brochure, which profiles the Hub’s ‘Enterprise Superstars’, reflects the Hub’s energy in supporting Suffolk’s potential entrepreneurs. Young people are at the heart of the its work and the brochure’s engaging design will encourage them to engage with the entrepreneurs who offer mentorship and business guidance.
Brigit Parker, Marketing and Communication Manager at the Hub, said, “We’re thrilled with the brochure. It’s bright and engaging – fully in line with our brand identity and aspirations”.
It is the Hub’s belief that personal success stories are the best means of inspiring people. “Often, hearing someone else’s story is the inspiration you need to find your own inner entrepreneur,” says Celia Hodson, Chief Executive of the Eastern Enterprise Hub. The entrepreneurs’ inspirational case studies form the bulk of the brochure’s content.
We are delighted to work on a project which encourages growth in our region and nurtures business potential, and the Superstars brochure makes this information accessible to everyone.

I was chuffed to receive these photos from James Ellis, Marketing Director of Suffolk Secrets, with whom I attended the launch of Visit East Anglia last week.

My broken iPhone prevented me getting any shots of feeding them (have you ever fed a giraffe? It’s quite an experience!) so I was delighted to see these. Thanks James!
