Spring is now working with Colin Blumenau, the Theatre Royal’s artistic director, on his epic ride across the UK on horseback.
Colin – who until last week had not ridden for 15 years – plans to lead a group of riders in a cross-country Georgian Horse Challenge from Lands End to John O’Groats via London’s West End.
The event’s target is to raise £150,000 to set up an endowment fund for the theatre. “Rather than sitting there waiting for someone to give us money!” said Colin.
He will be working with the National Trust and other theatres and historic properties across the UK and will be creating an educational programme to run alongside the ride.
This week I met Chris Grady and Lee Ann Bannerman to discuss creative ways to generate more interest, sponsorship and press coverage. Spring will be donating regular brainstorms and consultancy throughout the lead up to and life of the event.
If you’d like to be involved you can contact Lee Ann on leeann@theatreroyal.org or call 07855 820 013.

I am delighted to see that Naomi Tarry from Best of Suffolk has won the Enterprise category at the East of England Businesswoman awards this year.
It’s a great accolade and richly deserved. The vision and hard work that she and Alex have applied to Best of Suffolk makes this company stand out in the region. Well done Naomi!
The other winners this year are: Businesswoman of the Year Rosemary Bensley, Rising Star of the Year Claire Bishop, Beatrice Wilkinson Memorial Award Karen Finch and Start Up Business of the Year Claire Martinsen.

This year, Mark Harrod’s visitors at Grass Roots have the chance to win a line marker, and amongst the other preparations we’ve been making for the show we created a campaign to publicise the offer.
I’m reliably informed that this beast is the Corvette of line markers – all gleaming lines and aerodynamic styling. So we thought we’d play with that and created a campaign that really turbo charged it. Max Line Power!

Here’s George with an enormous flag. This and a few others will be accompanying a host of other materials (and some Springers) to Grass Roots next Friday, for Mark Harrod.

Grass Roots is the largest football show in Europe, and takes place in Birmingham every year. It’s a huge undertaking for Mark and his team, so we’re on hand to help out and provide PR support at the event – having spent the last few months preparing for it with him and his team.

We Springers enjoy our ongoing work with TV farmer Jimmy Doherty, whose farm hosts a huge variety of events throughout the year. Here’s some recent print collateral, an events listing guide which takes them up to next valentine’s day via Pet Fest, Harvest and Christmas.
