Red Poll launching online meat shop

September 27th, 2010 — 3:28pm

We have loved working with James and Lavinia Wells of Worlingworth Hall, whose herd of Red Poll cattle are forming the basis of a wonderful online selection of Suffolk’s best meats.

Available on their site (the one you see now, if you are looking in October, is not ours!) will be Red Poll beef, Sutton Hoo chicken, Procter’s sausages, rare breed lamb, free range pork, free range cured ham and gammon – and of course free range and organic turkeys and geese for Christmas.

We have been enjoying the fruits of our labours in the form of delicious stews and wonderful Sunday lunches, since the 72 pieces of meat we photographed in our stills studio needed to be eaten shortly after the shoot.

James reports a successful Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival this weekend, with many of the event’s visitors admiring their Red Poll bull on their stand’s display panels. Here’s a smaller version.

If James Bond owned a Shipton White suit…

September 27th, 2010 — 2:18pm

Spring’s just created some rather natty membership cards for the proud – and elegant – owners of Shipton White tailoring, a company for whom we have created the brand and are working on their marketing strategy and PR. I couldn’t resist the temptation to sequestrate James Bond’s card.

Nursey 2010 is here!

September 27th, 2010 — 2:05pm

Every year we await the print and delivery of the latest Nursey catalogue with great excitement. Their stock is getting more beautiful the more we get to know them – this year’s aviator fashion story is a gift for them, since they can almost claim to have invented them as a fashion item and make the most exquisite, hand made pieces.

Well, here it is. I am slightly surprised to see my baby son make an appearance in it! Delighted with the 2010/11 catalogue which is suitably luxurious and well produced. Well done Bex Monks for her design work and Simon Hazelgrove for his photography.

Dance East’s new look

September 22nd, 2010 — 1:29pm

danec east

Spring has assigned Bex Monks (design) and Lizzie Hirst (account manager) as the Dance East team, overseen by Erika who’s keen to have as much input as possible – Dance East is a wonderful client for us, being such an influential part of the region’s cultural landscape.

We have moved them away completely from the dark colours and formal ‘D’ image frames – the new look created by Spring is a suitable evocation of the wide spaces and neutral materials of Jerwood DanceHouse and really allows their stunning photography to become the hero of the piece.
